Kara has dilated to 8-9cm and is dozing off to a well-deserved nap. The midwife said she will probably wake up when the baby is ready to be pushed out, so it looks like we will meet our little one in just a few hours. Kara has been really amazing. I can't describe the feelings I had watching Kara in labor- I'm an incredibly proud husband (and soon-to-be Dad)!

It is 5:45am and the first thing we did upon awakening was to check to see if Baby Kiefer had arrived. Praying for a smooth delivery for Kara. Thank you Russ for the updates! We can't wait to find out what it is!
I have been checking the blog throughout the night and this thing won't let me publish a comment! But I have been praying for strength and peace and hopefully the little one will arrive soon! Kara...I am so so so proud of you! AND Russ...I am sure you knew just want to say and do at the exact right time!
Just woke up and came right away to see if Baby Kiefer was here. I pray that he/she will be here soon and that everything has gone as smoothly as possible. Russ, it gives you a new appreciation and admiration for your wife, doesn't it? :) Kara, soooo proud of you! Can't wait to hear... Praying, praying, praying. Love y'all!!
